Helps improve the appearance of fine lines: FOREO says the UFO 3 is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of wrinkles within one week. That is a manufacturer claim rather than independent evidence, so I'd treat it as promising rather than guaranteed.

Great before makeup or an event: Because the immediate effects are primarily hydration, plumping, cooling and radiance, it can be particularly useful when you want skin to look smooth, fresh and makeup-ready. FOREO reports that 78% of users in its testing said their skin felt softer and well-prepped for makeup.

Much faster than traditional masking: Treatments are generally 90 seconds to 2 minutes, versus sitting with a traditional sheet mask for 10–20+ minutes.

Clean and dry your face. Start with freshly cleansed skin so the mask treatment can be applied evenly.

Attach the UFO Activated Mask. Remove the clear attachment ring, place the small mask sheet onto the UFO 3, then snap the ring back into place to secure it.

Turn on the UFO 3. Press the universal button. You can choose the appropriate treatment through the FOREO For You app, or press the button again to select one of the device's eight preset treatments.

Glide it over your face. Gently massage the device across the skin using slow circular motions. The UFO 3 automatically combines the appropriate LED light, T-Sonic massage and, depending on the treatment, warming or cooling.

Continue until the treatment finishes. A session typically lasts 90 seconds or 2 minutes, depending on the selected mask. If you'd like another round, FOREO says you can press the button again within 30 seconds of finishing.

Finish your skincare routine. Massage any remaining mask serum into the skin rather than immediately washing it away.

Clean the UFO 3. Remove the mask and attachment ring. Wash the device and ring with soap, rinse with warm water, pat dry with a lint-free towel and place it on its stand to dry. Avoid cleaners containing alcohol, petrol or acetone.
